Hey folks,

Well, we are absolutely thrilled to have one of our songs ("You Better Praise") named to The Independent's Top 40 for 2008.  We are especially proud because we feel that this song was divinely spoken to Mike, and we are blessed to think that our most direct and openly Christian song is the most accepted.

We have some really exciting news to share...  The Taylor Guitar company has invited us to play on their stage at the upcoming 2009 NAMM Show, January 15–18, in Anaheim, California!

Hey Thanks to all who came out to SLIM'S last friday!  We had a big time opening for J Roddy, and we have posted some pictures of our set, thanks to Kim Wilson.

The Town of Clayton announced The Whistlestop as one of the five bands selected for the "Battle of the Bands" performance on Thursday, September 18 at 7pm.   The performance concludes the Clayton Town Square Concert Series, which ran the entire summer.  Come out and vote for The Whistlestop!

For everyone who came out in force to our CD release party, thanks!!!!  We greatly appreciate our fans, and it was wonderful playing for each of you and talking to you all.  Extra thanks to Kenny Roby, and David Dyer & the Crooked Smile Band for joining us!

For the second week in a row, Come Home Baby Now has topped the PittRadio.net Top Country Songs chart.  Furthermore, Throw Down has climbed all the way to #3, while Fifty Fingers rose to #21.

Come Home Baby Now holds down the #1 position in the "Top New Country Songs" chart on PittRadio.net, along with two other Whistlestop songs in the top 25.

Listen to WKNC 88.1 and you just might catch a Whistlestop tune!  Since June 2, Whistlestop songs have been played ten times.

They are here and they are gorgeous!  Oh, and they sound pretty good too.  We just got them in our grubby little paws today. 

... The Wonderful Wizard of DiscMakers! That's right... the album is Mastered, the artwork is FINISHED and in the mail.

It feels like it has been a long road. But compared to most recording ventures, this one has been very streamlined.

WOW folks... We are pleased to announce that we will be opening up for the amazing WOVENHAND (colorado) On Sunday April 13th, at The Pour House.

our good buddies Josh Steadman and Dallas really came through... They shot video of the recent Tir Na Nog performance and Josh edited it up real nice. So all of you who missed the show can go see it, and those who saw it can re-see it.

Well here we are.  Back at our beloved Overdub Lane.  John Plymale is working hard on mixing our record perfectly, and rob and I are drinking beer and I’m eating studio-cheez-it party mix. (it’s a party in my mouth)

We had a swell practice last night... Jim Crew, and Scotty Miller joined us to sharpen up for Tir Na Nog.  You all have no idea how good those two cats make us sound. It's amazing.

We were warned by John Plymale (and probably already knew) that it's always the packaging artwork that holds up the record's release. I took that as a challenge, and am pleased to report that the packaging is 2/3rds DONE!

We've had a few days to let the dust settle, and for our ears and brains to re-set. All I can say is that God has worked miracles.

Well, it's the tail end of day 4.  We're finishing up b/g vocals on If you gonna sing, and Will Henry.  Jim Crew just destroyed all his Hammond parts that he had left to do, then he rolled out.

WHAT IN THE WORLD... The NY Giants just beat the NE Patriots and we are almost done making this record in 3 days!!!
