3/16/2008 - mix-master plymale

Well here we are.  Back at our beloved Overdub Lane.  John Plymale is working hard on mixing our record perfectly, and rob and I are drinking beer and I’m eating studio-cheez-it party mix. (it’s a party in my mouth)

Well here we are.
Back at our beloved Overdub Lane.

Mixing is an amazingly tedious process. I’ve only been here a couple hours, and have realized that I don’t need to be here at all. But these other guys have more "studio" ears than I do. John is pouring a cup of coffee and called it "perspective" - I called it java juice. But I don’t drink coffee, so I don’t have the proper respect. In his case it probably is liquid perspective, which is pretty cool if you think about it. I mean, there aren’t many intangibles, like perspective, that you can just pour in a mug and drink on. I don’t know how he does it - over and over again - every day. Awesome.

Anyhow. I’m gonna leave soon, knowing that everything is in very capable hands. It’s gonna sound as good as can be, and that’s all we can expect.

Looking forward to playing at Tir Na Nog on thurs.
We’re also trying to set something up for April, as a stepping stone
to the big CD Release show some time in May.
We’ll see.
cheers,
